FAQ

Reviews & Reputation FAQs

Getting reviews, responding to them, and what to do about the unfair one.

How many Google reviews do I need to compete?

Enough to be in the same conversation as the top three dealers in your market. Go look at their counts, then plan to pass them.

Volume matters, but so does recency. A profile with 200 reviews and nothing new in a year loses ground to one adding four a month.

What is the best way to ask for a review?

Automated text right after the install is complete, from the tech's name, with a direct link.

Timing beats wording. The window where a homeowner is happiest is the day the generator runs for the first time.

Can you filter out unhappy customers before they leave a review?

No. Review gating violates Google's policies and we will not build it.

Every customer gets the same request. The fix for bad reviews is fixing the thing that caused them, plus enough volume that one bad experience does not define the profile.

What do I do about a review that is flat-out untrue?

Respond publicly, calmly, with the facts, and report it to Google if it violates policy.

Most readers judge you on the response more than the complaint. Never argue, never share private customer details, and always offer a direct line to resolve it.
